Although the Bee & Bloom garden is still early in its journey, the first signs of growth are already beginning to appear.
Seed trays are gradually filling with small seedlings, and each day brings something new to notice.
Some plants have been chosen specifically for pollinators, while others will eventually become part of the seasonal bouquets grown in the garden. Flowers such as cornflowers, cosmos and borage are known to be loved by bees, while teasel has been planted with goldfinches in mind as they feed on the seeds later in the year.
For now, most of the young plants are still indoors while they establish themselves.
Spring in the garden is a time of patience sowing seeds, nurturing seedlings and waiting for the first real signs that the season is beginning to wake up.
