Starting the Bee & Bloom Garden

Bee & Bloom is only just beginning.

Having only moved into this garden a little over a month ago, I’m still discovering what already grows here and how the space changes through the seasons. Rather than rushing to redesign everything immediately, I’ve been taking time to observe the garden and understand what wildlife already visits.

The pond has quickly become one of the most interesting parts of the space. Mallards have already been visiting regularly, and it’s clear the garden already supports a surprising amount of wildlife.

Alongside exploring what’s here, I’ve started planting the first flowers for Bee & Bloom. The intention from the very beginning has been to grow flowers that support wildlife first, while also eventually producing natural, seasonal bouquets.

At the moment the garden is still quiet and early in the season, but that’s part of the process. Every garden begins somewhere, and Bee & Bloom is just getting started.
