Potting My First Dahlias

Potting My First Dahlias

One of the most exciting plants to add to the Bee & Bloom garden this spring has been dahlias.

Dahlias are known for producing some of the most beautiful and dramatic flowers in a cutting garden, and they will eventually become some of the focal flowers for summer bouquets.

The tubers have now been planted into pots and are currently indoors while they begin to wake up. Keeping them protected while they start growing gives them a better chance of producing strong plants once they are moved outside.

Over the coming weeks I’ll be watching carefully for the first signs of growth.

For now, the pots are waiting patiently for the moment when the first green shoots begin to appear.
